How to Clean Your Plasma TV

You are just about to watch the big game or one of your band new movies and you notice a spot on your new Plasma TV.  You scream throw the remote through the new Plasma television and go buy a new one.  Or you could just take some time and clean it. 
 
Before you start always remember that your Plasma TV is not made the same way as your old CRT or DLP television.  In fact if you use paper towels on it you may actual scratch and damage the screen so follow the following steps:
 
  1. 1.  Always check the manufacturers guide to ensure you use the proper materials and do not void any warranty.
  2.  
  3. 2.  Unplug your Plasma TV just to prevent any static.
  4. Only use a soft cloth not paper towelswhich will scratch your new Plasma television.  Normally a 100% micro-fiber cloth is recommended.
  5.  
  6. 3.  First try just using the soft micro-fiber cloth to wipe any dust of your Plasma TV.
  7.  
  8. 4.  If you still see distortions or spots then get the cloth damp and try gently wiping the Plasma television.
  9.  
  10. 5.  If this still does not work, some manufacturers recommend using a damp cloth with a mild soap solution.  Be sure to check the manufacturers recommendation.

  12. 6.  Do not use any houshold cleaning products like especially any that include ammonia which may damage the anti-reflective coating.
  13.  
  14. 7.  When cleaning the screen press gently on the screen try not to push into the screen.
 
If you clean your Plasma TV on a regular basis this process will only take a few moments.  The cleaner and better maintained you keep it the longer your Plasma television will continue to bring you brillant sports games and amazing movies.
